Four month post in trauma and orthopaedics is available on some rotations.

You will be responsible for admissions in the speciality. You will also attend A&E trauma calls and prepare the trauma list for the next day.  At present the post is Band 2A.  Normal working hours are 0800 - 1700, 0800-2030 on call.

The rota rolls over a period of 6 weeks. During that time you work 1.5 weekends, one week 1st on call for trauma and one week 2nd on call covering the wards. Nights at present are covered by the surgical SHO.  You will have an educational supervisor who will help organise your attendance at orthopaedic and trauma clinic There is also a daily trauma clinic in Larkspur suite, led by the on call consultant, which you can attend.
